Don't you solve all your own problems?

It's great, just don't post threads BEFORE you actually try to solve the problem itself ;)

I don't. I post threads when I'm stuck and tried everything I can think of.
As you see, I took a long break before trying to solve this(in this case it was 3 hours from the time I posted the thread, to the time when I solved it). Apparently in this case, I just made a typo, writing printf instead of sprintf, and it's not easy to see when you've coded for 5 hours in a row. All I needed was a break, and get my mind straight. So I posted the thread in the hope that someone here would notice my typo quicker than I could "recover", but like I said; I was faster(like all the other threads I've made).

Anyways, sorry if I take up valueble space with my seemingly "useless" threads

How about retaining an archive of useful topics? Rather than editing out the first post whenever you solve your own questions, perhaps take 5 minutes to post a reply detailing what the problem was and how you went about fixing it; however simple the solution was.

No-one's going to be bothered if you post a topic saying, for example, "Hey I got this problem, x, y, z" with a reply 4 hours later "d'oh I misspelled the function name!" That's far better than dozens of topics with the first post being "Edit: Solved it".

Yea I know. Thing is that I don't want to give out my code.. especially not when I was the one solving the problem. If someone of you would've helped me solve it, I would've kept it.. maybe it sounds silly

Yep, it does sound silly. You don't want to share buggy code and solutions to it? Instead preferring threads with just "solved it" which is useful to no-one; even yourself in a week's time when you forget what you did to solve it.
