For the sixth time in succession, lifestyle company THOMAS SABO UK is taking part in the RTL Donation Marathon. In 2012, a major part of the donations received will be going towards a project to build a new school in Columbia. A further children’s support project is the RTL Children’s House in Nuremberg, whose further development is being backed. Company founder Thomas Sabo comments: “For us, making a contribution to people in need is second nature. The projects provide socially-disadvantaged children – be they on our doorstep in Nuremberg or in South America, with a more stable childhood and a better future.”

7,000 children in Cartagena, a refuge centre for domestic refugees in Columbia, do not receive any form of school education. The planned school will eventually provide a learning centre for 1,700 children. Thomas Sabo Sale and his wife Luz Enith Sabo, together with the “German-Columbian Circle of Friends”, are the sponsors of the project, with singer Shakira lending her support as the patron. Furthermore, Thomas and Luz Enith Sabo – as partners of Nuremberg’s RTL Children’s House – also helped its “Children of the World” garden project.
