Default Paypal Express Integration HELP!

i cant believe how long this is taking me to figure out. What i did is i used the paypal integration wizard for express checkout to add onto a custom built cart. I downloaded all the files that was provided to me. I then entered the api credentials into the site.

here is the url: http://swisscabinets.com/paypal/

if you click on the button and get redirected to login.
use this

login: buyer2_1300264762_per@gmail.com
pass: buyer222

after you login u'll see the page where you confirm your shipping and information. after you press continue you are redirected to the
return url that was specified.

my question is at what point does the transaction go through? is the return url the page where the user confirms the amount he is going to pay? because in the return url i see two parameters buyerid and token. i have no clue what to use these for.

i did on transaction then had it return to the return url then i checked to see if there was a transaction inthe sandbox but nothing.

please if someone can help me. i tried reading the paypal documents but its a circle of confusion.
