why is it so hard to find out how to stream video on a webpage? i have been searching for a very long time now trying to find out how i can stream video such like youtube does. being that the video is stream in such a way that it doesnt hog the viewers pc and you can move to any track in the video. i went on forums and forums looking for the information but cant find it.

videos are in .flv (flash video) format. you need embed flash player.you can download it or make your's,if u know how to work with flash.

just embeding an flv will not stream the video. You must have some sort of video streaming server. Most regular web hosting companys do not do this. There are some other hosts that do, usually come with a large price tag as well.
