Where would i start to make...

Okay. I am very new to php and I have been using some tuts when I deal with php. My question is where should I start to make this: http://pickeringtonstudio.com/dsp/
I know the guy that made it and he will sell the source for 5.00 American, but I want to see if I could make it myself. So like I said before, where would I start? (coding the php)

I couldnt quickly see what it was 100% since i didnt fell like uploading a 70*70 png image. But what he is using must be a grafic library such as the GD library.

Here you can find quite some nice tutorials:
GD library basics - Google Search

I also have some experience in the GD lib and i must say it's not that difficult but it does need some learning.

About the 5.00 american, do you mean he would sell it for 5 dollar? If thats the case just buy it, creating your own script can take hours.

Thank You. And the 5.00 American is how much he is selling it for

Well, first you need the background image which stays always the same. To be honest, a better one would be extremely fine, in my opinion it looks terrible just because the fields are in twenty different positions, so I would never buy that.

But if a more or less unprofessional script is exactly what you want, buy it. It isn't my money. The code is pretty simple, only the background image (everything without what you can change, you can see it here http://pickeringtonstudio.com/dsp/im...2=&g3=&avatar= ) has to be done by you.

Deal: if you send me the image (of course yours, not his), I will do the coding for you, no prob.

Just send me an email, I don't know for how often I'm around here.

Patriotfan 07-22-2008 01:44 PM

Okay, Thanks.
I will send you the email when I get done with my image

netsnake 07-22-2008 01:52 PM

just besides:
please leave the field where the uploaded image should go to transparent. Like that, you can leave teh antialiasing of the border. (And it's easier for me :) )

Patriotfan 07-22-2008 02:11 PM

Okay, will do

Patriotfan 07-25-2008 06:31 PM

Sorry for the double post, but I made it
with out any help

Here is a example of it so far

y is it taking so long? I mean, without typing anything?
And when I type in a username (netsnake), I get an error.
(Could not display image as it contains errors)
Hmm... Tell me, what d'you wanna do? Do you want to replace the "Avio Design" text by the username? Maybe I can help...

But the result is far better than the script you wanted to buy, isn't it? It's even eye candy! =)

Worked for me in under a split second, and looks pretty snazzy I might add!

See how much fun it is to do these things yourself? And then you know exactly what you're working with so that you can customize to your hearts content. Good work.

Ok, now it works very fast also for me.

@delaydinsanity: exactly my opinion!

look:
http://favio-design.purejet.net/only...&rightOffset=5
It'd be 5px more the the left

http://favio-design.purejet.net/only...&leftOffset=83
