Default Upgrading to PHP5 on OSX Client?

I'm lost trying to figure out how to do this. Most places I've been to have conflicting information. Included docs with php5.2.5 and the PHP website was no help (only has install/compile info for PHP4 and outdated links).

I'm trying to update to PHP5.2.5 from 4.3.10 on an older G4 machine (OSX 10.2.5 - Apache 1.3.33) I had laying around.

If anyone has a how-to link you can forward me to or can throw me some info I would greatly appreciate it. =)

Thanks

If you want something super-simple, you can get xampp for mac which has PHP 5.2.5. Installation and usage details are at that link.

Can't use XAMPP on this machine (10.2.8) since they only have a link to the current version (requires 10.4 or later). I've looked around for earlier versions and had no luck.

well, updating/upgrading PHP versions within OSX is something that I'm really having trouble finding help with/documentation on.

Sooo...I downloaded Abyss for OSX and the PHP5 release by the same company made especially for Abyss. Seems like this will be a good solution for now. This is just a test server for me to mess around on, so I'll prob stick with Abyss if I never resolve the other issue.
