For beginners, I can recommend www.phpvideotutorials.com. Not the best site but the tutorials are worth watching.

And like always, Tizag.com has got best PHP Beginner Tutorials.

And don't forget of course w3schools! I really don't know why so many people despise w3schools as to me they offer a great overview of a topic. Perhaps that's just it though, they don't go in to enough depth. It's definitely a unique style though. They're not superfluous at all and I really do like that approach.

I would highly reccomend the website that I learnt from, www.tizag.com, Then www.phpfreaks.com and www.pixel2life.com!

Not really an online resource, but a great one at that for beginners and experts needing referance: Sam's Teach yourself PHP in 24 hrs!

Really good book, outlines all the basics and moves onto some better things aswell.

Yeah, that is quite a good site. Although none of the videos have ever appealed to me because when I found it, I was already proficient in PHP. I've watched 1 though and it seemed to be of a pretty decent quality.

I think it can be easier, esp when you are doing or following the tut... you can just hit the rewind button instead of having to re-read sommin :lol:
