Drat, the one time I quote the article I read last year and now I can't find it.
It was either on ZDNet or CNet, but the article was a sort of security audit about Java and all its then recent patches. Someone within the Java industry from the near beginning enumerated on a few base flaws that were in the language, and I think the JRE.
I'll let you know if I find it, otherwise scratch that remark. You probably already know of the cross-platform attacks and viruses that can happen with Java though.
