There is nothing horrific about Dreamweaver at all :) I use it for all my HTML needs, switching between wysisyg mode and code-view to adjust bits of the html it creates.

Waaaaay back in the day, Dreamweaver used to create some "interesting" html at times which I think is where it gets its bad reputation from, but nowadays it creates standards-complient HTML (well, pretty much).
