Come on folks :) Somebody must have an opinion on these apart from voting! I can personally see the web taking off in this direction in the next couple of years. They're definitely the way to be going if you're wanting to stick around in the web business for a good few years! There's already an XML based querying language that is similar to MySQL in its approach and implementation. Of course TalkPHP will never be obsolete because server-side languages, I believe, will
be around due to the fact that there's no point in transferring such code to the client for both bandwidth and security issues.
The man who comes back through the Door in the Wall will never be quite the same as the man who went out.
