I've recently been introduced to this component of Zend Framework. I noticed wjgilmore had posted a link to a PDF he had written on the subject, which turned out to be an informative read.

(And also a coincidence because I'd just been looking at it today)

Zend Framework Manual:
- Zend_Tool_Project
- Zend_Tool_Framework

I feel it deserves a thread on its own for those people who use Zend Framework, because Zend_Tool does looks promising!
