I use AOL dialup here and it BITES. I have a 56k modem but would be lucky to connect at anything even remotely close to that.

We have this mini river that's right next to the house and our phone junction box is right at the edge of it. So, when it rains my phone line drowns too and then connection is non-existent for half of the day. Well, the other half of that day I'm lucky to get online at anything higher than 33kbps

But yeah, Texas will be waaaaaay better. I've been in IL now for almost 8 years and hate it. I moved here from Las Vegas which was a major culture shock because we were used to having access to everything and everything was open 24/7.
