@Question; You can just recompile PHP and have nothing to do with Apache, PHP is just a module thats loaded at startup.

Hmm, I don't think I've ever really built my LAMP with anything special. I always compile my packages myself, I don't use RPM's.
(is that bad not to use RPM's??)
And yes it is Linux, sorry for not being detailed....
I always assumed it was somehow more than just recompiling PHP ontop of the old one.....is it really that straightforward? |
