There are many arguments for and against tables, but I have to admit, for as advanced as I am, I prefer using tables for layouts. It is personal preference, really. If you create a lovely website with endless functionality, not many people are going to view the source and then decide not to visit your website. As long as it displays correctly, which you have more chance with tables for that, then I don't see a problem.
