stop using error suppression i.e. '@'
For one it slows down your script and secondly it makes it hard to debug and I for one can't be bothered
'ing through the code for '@' every time something just blows up and no error is shown.
For the production version, set error_reporting(0).
mysql> SELECT * FROM `users` WHERE `users`.`clue` > 0;
Empty set (0.00 sec)
