Perhaps the best place to pick up PHP jobs would be Sitepoint. I used to pick up quite a few PHP jobs there. I think you're more than capable of freelancing now!
Yea, that's true. But the only way to gain experience, is by trying. And what better way is there, than to get paid for trying and practicing?

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!
And thanks!

Advertise your services, I got many times more clients coming to me than projects I found. Sarmen, never tell the client that you are young or in school (I would go as far as to tell teens to lie about their age), the two are suicide if you want to make real money. Such details are of no relevance and can only hurt you (and age is illegal to discriminate by).

If the project is too big for you to do because of school, just say "I won't have time to take this one on." Not "I have school." When you say that, people think of some idiot highschooler who they wouldn't even have mow their lawn.
That's true. I myself wouldn't hire someone whom I knew was a "highschooler". Where would I advertise my services? Got any good tips of websites?

Thanks!

Cool. But where do you find your clients?
