Can't using too many frameworks slow your applications heavily? If you use a framework on a commercial product, does that make it less professional, or make it look like a lower quality product?

I mean, if you use Smarty, JQuery, Zend Framework, and a CSS reset/base, can't that get a little bulky? Doesn't that make your application look really... dependent on frameworks...?
