Doh! I'd forgotten about that. If I'm honest mate, it probably won't happen. The latest release of Dev-CPP is some 3/4 years old which makes it impractical for developing PHP extensions due to the changes that have occured between then and now. If you really don't want to install one of the free Microsoft Express editions of Visual Studio 2005/2008, then I would recommend taking a look at Code:Blocks instead which should have no problems building PHP extensions.

As for TalkPHP dying, that's the joy of user-created content sites like forums, as long as people keep joining and people keep posting, they never die, they just have slow periods like all business
